Canoe Race

Saturday was the annual LARC wild hog canoe race......hundreds of people come from miles around to participate and enjoy the benefit! My inlaws are in charge of Levys ARC and Justin's on the board for the canoe race, so does his share of volunteering/ helping out during that time!

     This year I got to help serve food for the race, along with 6 other volunteers..... It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it a lot! Btw, the pork sandwich was really good.

      Daniel, Ben, Matt, Jeremy and Josh all participated in the race....they all did very well too (considering the challenges they faced).

Savannah turns 3!

It's hard to believe that miss Savannah is three already..... Though she sometimes seems much older with the things she comes up with,  and her vocabulary is endless! Savannah is our extremely emotional child, she'll cry for just about everything! But she's also very sweet and loving towards little ones....she'll talk your ear off, seriously!! But she can also be very shy around new people. And she loves to tell her siblings what to do. 

   A couple weeks ago she had this dispute with Christian about him being a girl, not a boy..... And I had to laugh because it reminded me of some friends of ours, sisters doing the exact same thing when they were little! 

   We love you so much Savannah.....

Monster truck show....

Last week Justin's family took us to a monster truck show, while Justin's mom babysat Savannah and Jonathan! I'm so glad we decided to keep the two youngest home, they wouldn't have enjoyed it at all....felicity could have done without a well, but Christian did enjoy watching the big trucks jump over thing. He still keeps asking me " How do the trucks jump like that?"

Sun N Fun

We had the privilege of being able to attend sun n fun this year. Last year we got an offer via email to get the tickets for a very reasonable deal, so of course took advantage of it! Sun n fun is all about airplanes and flying, and in the afternoon they have a very cool airshow. This year the airshow started at 1pm and didn't get done till about 5:45pm..... The kids did really well and enjoyed themselves thoroughly, but it was cute about 20 min before it was over Christian came to me and said "I'm ready to go now"! 

    There was a couple sitting behind us that ended up knowing friends of ours in Haiti, what a small world we live in :-)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sunday

So pictures of the kids from Sunday. I think the ones of Jonathan and Riley are to cute!!! They first look like they're plotting their next move, and the second one looks like Jonathan's waiting for a football pass....

Fishing at Grammie and Papa's house...

 

Last Saturday the children enjoyed learning how to fish...... Originally, there was a fishing trip planned for the guys (including Christian), but due to bad weather it's been postponed! But the kids were really wanting to try their poles out, so had a blast in the "pond" instead..... I tried to keep them as clean as possible by tucking the girls dresses up and rolling Christians pants, but felicity and Christian still managed to get soaked and covered in mud!
