Christmas lights

Our Christmas lights are officially ON!!! Justin has been working on them for the last 3 weeks and they are finally done.

He even got two of his goals accomplished with them this year as well, a thirty foot tree and a nativity!

Originally, we were going to buy a nativity, but after checking out prices, we decided that we'd go to "plan B", buy the design and make it ourselves!

As the time grew close and things changed, we decided the only option we could do was "plan C". Justin took a picture of a design, that he liked, and drew his own nativity (on the back of a campaign sign)....which equals FREE!

So, after about three years of hoping and planning to eventually get a Nativity, we now have a Beautiful Nativity in our yard.

I know I might be slightly biased, but I'd say that it came out much better than could ever be bought (very realistic)!

Family pictures

A couple weeks ago, Frances came over and took our family pictures. She did a great job too (as always)!

Jonathan was being a total "Brat", he really made Frances work hard just to get a decent picture.....I was totally surprised how many pictures actually came out Good!

I will say though, these pictures totally capture Jonathan's personality (totally trying not to smile, nor look at the camera)!

The maternity picture, I'm 34 1/2 weeks along (5 1/2weeks left)!

Coon Hollo

The end of October, as a yearly tradition,  we went with some friends to Coon Hollo. It's a fun, family farm with a fall theme.

They have animals to feed, horses to ride on, hay bails to climb over, games to play, tractor rides, a huge slide, a corn maze to explore and food to eat!

The weather was HOT, and the mosquitoes were seriously trying to carry us off, but the kids had a great time and really enjoyed it!
