On Memorial Day we planned to spend the day at home, just relaxing doing some little projects, cooking out, just enjoying some family time.....but God had different plans!
Right before lunch Jonathan was playing golf, with a real club, and somehow connected with James face.... And after closely examining the cut we divided that it probably needed stitches, so I headed to the ER (since it was a holiday or pediatrician was closed) with James while Justin stayed home with the rest of the kids.
As I left, I was thinking, this will be a quick trip I'll be back in an hour or two, cause it's a holiday, surely it won't be busy! WRONG....I spent 5 1/2 hours at Shands, definitely not how I wanted to spend my afternoon.
BUT......I am so thankful we decided to take him in, because he did indeed need stitches and actually it took about an hour to get a second opinion from the Doctor to decide that he didn't need to see a plastic surgeon to fix it! Apparently your lip is very detailed with many layers and if the cut was touching his lip it would have required a surgeon to fix.
