One minute they are all playing nicely and then the next minute I'm having to help teach sharing or kindness..... The other day, Christian knocked over Felicity's train track. So in Felicity's frustration, and trying out a new word, said "I hate you Christian". Well, being the copycat that he is, responded with "I hate you too".... I was surprised at what I heard, but I also thought it was kinda funny because it wasn't that they meant it, but were just trying out a phrase/word that was new to them! Well, trying not to laugh at their immaturity, I immediately reprimanded them on using words like that and speaking unkindly to each other. They also got to enjoy 10 minutes of sitting next to each other while holding hands :-) ...... Needless to say, they haven't used the word again..... Though It saddened me to think of, if not dealt with by parents, how easy it is for children's simple frustration can lead to a deeper heart issue that could last a lifetime! It is so important for us as Mothers to be aware of what our children are doing and feeling and deal with actions as well as the heart!
This is so true!!! I hope I am a faithful mama & teach our boys the proper Godly response's!!!
