Happy Friday!

Today's Friday, yeah!..... Thanks to the yard sale we were able to finish getting the wood and bolts for our swing set last night. And thanks to Ben and Kim, who gave us their left over tar paper and shingles, the swing set will, besides a few little things, be finished! Also, last saturday Ben and Kim saw a slide at a yard sale, and we ended up getting it for a super good deal...... that was so neat how The Lord provided, something that could have been a big expense turned into being very reasonable, Praise The Lord !!

 

 

Jonathan....

I stuck him down on the floor this morning while the kids were playing trains, and for the first time, he made a B-line towards this house and started sucking/chewing on it.... I couldn't resist getting a picture of him.  He's been moving forward for a week or so, but this was with motivation, this time. And it was half crawling/ half scooting too!

Jonathan just started drinking water.... But it's chew, chew, drink. Chew, chew, drink! I thought he looked so cute though, like a baby bird...... (sorry about color of cup, I only have one boy colored one)

Thunder storm...

Last night we had an awesome thunder storm...... We were planning on having a yard sale Friday and Saturday, and I was getting a little worried with the storm Thursday night. We prayed specifically that it wouldn't rain Friday till 4pm, and actually prayed that it would be sunny, even though the weather said 40%-60% chance of rain. God is so good! He not only answered our prayer but gave us more, just because...... So I look like a lobster, due to the beautiful sunny day we had AND it didn't start raining here till after 5pm! I just have to smile at His Goodness to us, even in the "little details"  of our life.

So, here's the finished product....... At least for now anyway! We have to get more materials to finish totally.

Swing set.....

Back at Christmas time we had put some money aside to start a swing set for the kids, well finances got tight, so we just saved the money in case of an emergency. Well a couple weeks ago a friend told me about this great deal on gift cards, spending the exact amount we had put aside and getting an extra $100. Of course we did it cause it pretty much doubled our money! So the other night we picked up most of the supply's and last night Justin started on the swing set (thanks Matt for helping!). Originally we thought the money would buy everything, but after getting the stuff, we realized how expensive wood is today.... forget about the slide anytime soon! So we're just gonna start on the swing set for now....Justin's doing a great job on it too! When we were getting the wood, I kept asking him if we really needed it, cause I totally couldn't picture it. But now that its starting to take shape, I'm very impressed with my honey's skill (I should never doubt him)!

Five months old!

Jonathan was five months old on Saturday.... Boy has time flown by! He's getting to be such a sweetheart. We all love him to death and are so thankful for this little man! He seems to be growing up way to fast these days.... He loves to jabber and puts everything in his mouth. He doesn't stay still on the ground for long and has even gotten on all fours several times, trying it out up there. I won't be at all surprised if he's crawling by 6 months, or sooner! He's still enjoying his evening meal of rice cereal and last night he tried oatmeal, he could definitely taste the difference, but not sure how he likes it yet. I think he'll be sitting soon, cause he'll sit for a minute with falling, and in the pictures he's actually sitting by himself, but he is in a chair!

Happy Fathers Day!

On Saturday, as a special treat for Father's Day, we took Justin out to eat. We went to Shane's Rib Shack in Ocala, which we've been wanting to try for a long time. It was a nice little place with really good food (it's not Sonny's of course)!

Doctors office....

This morning I had to take Jonathan to the pediatrician for a recheck, due to poor weight gain at his 4 month checkup..... Justin and I were praying he'd have gained a pound, PTL he gained 1.25lbs!

Daytona beach

On saturday, some siblings and friends joined us at the beach for some fun, food and fellowship.....and lots of sun! We left several people wondering what we were, a daycare or something! The kids pretty much out numbered the adults two to one, and they were all under 8. One lifeguard made a point to stop and tell us, cause the amount of children we had, that cars were gonna be driving on the beach....  We even got our truck stuck in the sand and had to get people to help us get out, cause the 4 wheel drive wasn't working. But no one got hurt and we had a lot of fun. Thanks everyone for joining us!
