Gingerbread house

Wednesday Justin helped the kids make this "home depot" gingerbread house. We had gotten it on clearance last year so the frosting was rather, hard and not easy to work with. For a Home Depot house, it came out pretty good though..... I think the kids enjoyed eating the candy the best! And licking the frosting.....for savannah!

New Cousin

Last Friday afternoon, we welcomed a new cousin to the Family.... Kim and Ben just had baby number five! Baby Maxson is very cute, and loved by all his siblings...... Our kids really enjoyed holding him, but Jonathan wasn't so sure  what "he" was!

Saturday.....

Justin finished putting up the Christmas lights last Saturday.

While he was doing to ones on the roof, he took each of the kids up, one at a time, to see what it's like to be up so high. And the only one who really enjoyed it was Christian, of course! Savannah was doing her, scared laugh, while clinging to Justin the whole time.... Course afterwards, she said she had fun!

Just a little teaser....

This Little Piggy!

Ever since this little man has discovered real food, he seriously makes a B line to the table whenever we're eating. I have to say, he does a pretty good job eating too! He cracks us up..... Whenever he wants another bite, he grunts rather loudly.

Christmas lights

Monday, Justin started the process of setting up our Christmas lights. Of course the children loved to help..... Don't worry, they aren't officially turning on, till after thanksgiving!

Jonathan enjoyed watching this year....

Justin always enjoys designing them and making everything look beautiful....... He's really good at it too!

Camping out...

Because Justin was off Monday, he thought it'd be fun for the kids to experience sleeping out in a tent, so Sunday night they set up the tent.

What's a camping trip without a camp fire.....

Savannah, Jonathan and mommy decided to sleep inside, so we could actually get some sleep...... I did stay in the tent till about 10pm though, for the experience :)
Funny story: Justin was watching stars through a mini door in the tent, and after thinking about it for a little while, I asked him if he was going to make sure he closed the door before he went to bed so no cats or opossum would come in while they were sleeping. He responded jokingly about all the mountain lions and jaguars out there...... Seriously not 5 minutes later, Justin freaked out, which nearly gave me a heart attach. Apartently,  a big white cat came to investigate, "the perfectly good head just laying around" and from an upside down view, Justin wasn't sure what it was! After we had a good long laugh, I went inside to bed.....by the way, he closed the door :-)

To the Salon we go.....

So Becky and I did my Birthday salon outing last night. I've gone to the salon like two other times in my entire life, so it was definitely a huge treat for me and loads of fun! Thank you so much Becky, I really enjoyed it...

Saturday

Saturday we went grocery shopping and enjoyed lunch out at a steak house......yum, was it good!  (Lunch was a treat from Justin's boss) We don't normally dine in somewhere with all the kids, so wasn't sure how they'd do.....but they actually did really well. Our goal when people see us and deal with us is for them to see a difference in our lives and to see that we are different from the world, and that our children are a blessing! We certainly don't want the waiter and people around us to be wishing us gone or saying "and that's why we're never having kids" or "they shouldn't be allowed to have kids". Before we went in the restaurant we told the children to make sure they were quiet and behaved because people were watching them and we were being a light for The Lord.... We actually got to positive comments and were able two leave a track when we left.

Blueberries...

Frozen blueberries are always a yummy snack, but are very messy too!
