Camping out...

Because Justin was off Monday, he thought it'd be fun for the kids to experience sleeping out in a tent, so Sunday night they set up the tent.

What's a camping trip without a camp fire.....

Savannah, Jonathan and mommy decided to sleep inside, so we could actually get some sleep...... I did stay in the tent till about 10pm though, for the experience :)
Funny story: Justin was watching stars through a mini door in the tent, and after thinking about it for a little while, I asked him if he was going to make sure he closed the door before he went to bed so no cats or opossum would come in while they were sleeping. He responded jokingly about all the mountain lions and jaguars out there...... Seriously not 5 minutes later, Justin freaked out, which nearly gave me a heart attach. Apartently,  a big white cat came to investigate, "the perfectly good head just laying around" and from an upside down view, Justin wasn't sure what it was! After we had a good long laugh, I went inside to bed.....by the way, he closed the door :-)

  3. How fun and great memories for the kids. Tj does this a couple times a year, but I've only slept out there once.
